Year 7 considered the qualities needed to be a star student and a star friend, Year 8 delved into rights and the law, Year 9 considered politics, Year 10 looked at the issues surrounding families and relationships, and Year 11 spent time preparing for their upcoming exams.
Particular highlights included a drama in which Mrs Hale was put on trial for assaulting Mr Hale, with Year 8 as the jury. Year 10 received advice from the charity MIND on how to deal with anxiety, which is clearly important advice to receive in the run up to Year 11. As well as this, Year 11 and Year 9 had workshops about revision with the excellent “Positively Mad”. The next day, former prison officers from the charity Prison Me No Way extended the understanding of Year 8 regarding the consequences of crime.
I would like to thank everyone, students and staff, for making Experience Day 3 so successful. It was a pleasure seeing all the hard work going on around school.
Experience Day 4 is on Tuesday 28th March. I am looking forward to it.
